Tearing down walls...

I really don't like being away from my blog and all of you for so long! As many of you know my laptop crashed and my access to the internet has been limited these past few months. As my cash is better spent on car repairs and such I haven't had the funds to replace my worn out laptop as of yet. I'm hoping to be back and running in the next month or two. I have to admit, although I've really missed my blogging friends (even tho I've been lurking when I get the chance) I've really enjoyed not being stuck on the couch in front of my TV and laptop especially since life has been so busy these past couple of months.

I've started a new job, I was working for Apple Computers, doing technical support for the iTunes application and iTunes accounts, and now I am back working in kind of an electrical/industrial atmosphere. I am working in the warehouse of one of my old electrical suppliers, its quite the change from my cushy purchasing job but I was really excited for the opportunity since it payed a bit better than Apple and has many more areas that I can climb the ladder there. I'm even getting use again to wearing steal toed safety boots, my feet ached for the first 2 weeks, and still kinda do. I have to start being cautious as to what I ask of the universe, I really wanted a more physically demanding job, but this has taken some time to get use too!

So life has been good, and I've been smiling again, its been a while...

It's 4:30 am now, and the end of a long day - think we are going to head to bed ;)

We're going to carve up some pumpkins tomorrow night and roast up the seeds, hopefully I can procure a camera and get some funny pics! (Another thing I need to get - a new camera - I feel naked with out it. Ya scary thought, I know...)

Anywho, hope you all have been well.
I've sincerely missed regularly following your blogs even tho I have gotten the chance to pop in a visit a few times. I'll be back up and running soon I hope!

Embrace the Journey,
Bret =)

I am so sorry to hear about the computer issue, that really bites, hopefully the good luck will keep on churning and allow you a new computer so you can come back online when you feel like it. A little love goes a long, long way, makes life so much better and easier. Enjoy the pumpkin carving and seed roasting! Halloween is almost here.

Yay! I'm so happy for you honey - hope you get your laptop up and running. And uh...sorry for my recent ITunes rant? I had no idea you were 'one of them'. I might have also suggested Steve Jobs has a third testicle. *shrugs* I was cranky.

Anyway - YAHOO on all fronts for you! Jann Arden is the BEST. She lives in my city - and is funny as hell.

So glad to see you around here again! I totally understand about the break from blogging. I think the universe was telling you that there were other important things to pay attention to while you took the time off from the computer. Procure that camera soon...I want to see a pic of Ben :)) I'm so glad you found someone who is so kind and good to you. Thanks also for keeping up with my food blog. At least one of us has..LOL! If you love that curry tofu, you would die for my gnocci with roasted veggies and mustard cream sauce. OMG...heaven in a freaking bowl. My etsy link is on the painted house blog about half way down on the right hand side. I'd love to see you guys in my aprons. I can do custom work for you too. Just let me know ;) Lots of love and hugs to you.

Bret, I just wanted to come back and say two more things:

1. My ex butthead husband works for Apple and it has come to be a name I detest so I'm glad you are outta there and on to a better job :))

2. I wish we lived closer because I have wanted to learn how to crochet for years but my brain and hands just won't work together with it no matter how many books I read on it.You could teach me and I could make you guys lots of yummy vegetarian dinners!

Oh, Brett! I'm so happy for you - new job, new cute guy (How did I miss the post about that first smile??) YEA!!! You so deserve a total sweetie, & sounds like Ben is one!!

Loved your comment over at the Vale - (& I always smile when you mention your grandmama - thanks for the kind words!!)
Maybe you need a footbath - I love mine! (another place I use my epsom salts) - or a pedicure??
I had a message on my phone tonight from a gal I got a pedi from awhile ago - she's moved shop & gave the new contact info - & I had been thinking it was TIME to get one!! So plan to give her a call!

Too bad about the computer *blues,* - but sounds like you've been putting your time to good purpose!!

Many blessings & MUCH love!

Hi. I've just read your post and it really made me smile. I'm very happy for you. Yes the universe is a wise beast although sometimes very strange. Now I did have to get my dad to explain to me the strange scientific formula you wrote on your comment but yes, although I obviously don't have definitive proof I think I had swine flu (if not I’ve never had a cold as bad) but I’m all better now. (Touch wood) have you heard back from your ghost?
