ACK!

That's how I feel sometimes... I don't know how you all have the dedication and commitment to your blogs; dedication I very much desire! I always make a pact with myself to write more, but it just never happens... Whats your secret? What will motivate me? Share, please share! LOL I think I have to realize that not all of my posts need to be "epic" or thoughtful - sometimes I just have mindless wanderings I should put down on paper....

As much as I don't want too, back to laundry - then caulking the seal in the shower!
Embrace the Journey,
Bret xoxo

don't worry about making anymore pacts with yourself.  If you look at mine it is feast or famine.  Also, before my posts I have a little something I snagged that helps me keep it in perspective: B.W.O.  (Blogging Without Obligation)  and the part that I quoted from was: "Because you shouldn’t have to look at your blog like it is a treadmill"
you can find the rest, including graphic at: BWO
Happy blogging for whenever you get the chance :)

Oooh... Happy one year Anni!

Sounds like you are doing well and that is all that matters. Blogs are a commitment but they shouldn't be a chore. You'll find a rhythm again and then it will change...just like life.
So glad to hear from you and so glad that you and Ben are happy.

Yes, I always feel this little 'nagging' voice in the back of my head if it's been too long in between blogs! I love doing it, I just don't always have the time. It just feels good to stay connected, I suppose. I love the cartoon though! haha! And a happy belated anniversary...but remember, absence makes the heart grow fonder :) and in many cases, the embrace all the sweeter! Blessings :)

I've had those dry spells over the past 5 years of blogging but lately I try to blog almost every day. For me, this online way of recording my life and connecting with so many amazing people like you is worth the effort that it takes me some days. My blog is a place that I love to come to. You know from my blog that most of the time I'm not setting the world on fire with my writing. Sometimes it's just a quick post to share some a creative project or recipe.

I will say this with utmost sincerity: I love coming to read your words and always have. I come around all the time to see if you've come back and I'm always a little sad when you stay away because your writing and wit put a big smile on my face. But I do understand where you are coming from and you should never put pressure on yourself to write. Just know that at this end of the world, you are loved and missed and you are truly one hell of a good blogger and beautiful soul.

Congrats on your one year anniversary! So happy for you and Ben.

"...I love Ben's family". That's so lovely to hear, particularly when you've had challenging times with your own. So happy for you and Ben, and Happy Anniversary. Such a funny cartoon too!Although we've all gone back to "incessant barking" at times, please keep in touch when you can, it was great to see your comment on my site recently.
I'm a great fan of blogging without obligation, but at the same time, it also brings a big smile to my face when I see you've posted again.xxxx

Hi, Honey!
I'm so happy you're happy :) & like Pam & Jane said - reading your blog always makes me happy - & some have brought tears - but - ummm - relating tears??
I also post in fits n spurts - just got a cool 'tiffin' or bento set - stainless steel, & have been sewing aprons! (haven't blogged about the aprons yet, lol, but just did a post on packing lunches :)
Just know you're loved, missed, & I always feel like I *know you* beyond the screen -
Happy Anniversary! So neat to see that - I'm doing the relationship dance again myself, & it feels good!

Happy Anniversary! That's awesome!

While it was great to see a new post here, I totally get what you're saying about wanting to be more dedicated to the blog but having difficulty making it happen. So I just have to go with the flow of it. Some days, I might pop up a cartoon or a video, maybe to amuse myself or just to say, hey I'm still out there. Other days it's all about the family pictures and feelings but other times weeks or months have gone by and I've posted nothing. Well, okay, that I blame on Facebook. I'm trying to divide my extra time between two social networks. LOL
There's no rhyme or reason to my blog. Just a way to keep connected when I can to a few people I've come to like. A way to feel connected to the larger world community now and then.
Just continue to do what you do, post when you feel like it or can, and don't feel obligated to give more. You're enjoying a nice full life now and that's the main thing.
