Difficulties with Soul Coaching

So, I am going to admit it. I am having problems with Soul Coaching. I wrote last night that I was having some difficulties keeping up, and received some feedback that others were too. I almost feel that my blog has lost its focus, it doesn't feel like me anymore. I've overloaded it with Soul Coaching - and although its been an amazing course and I recommend it to everyone - its just completely shifted my blogging focus. I barely have time to blog, and I am rarely able to read in depth my friends blogs and make comments with substance; and that doesn't feel right.

So here is what I've decided to do. I've taken all my Air Week posts and copied them all into one post. Its alot to read. I am going to post at the end of each elemental week - one post recapping my journey through the week - I've deleted my Water Week posts so far and transferred them back into my journal.

I give ALOT of credit to anyone who is able to keep up with the course, blog posts and process journal however it just isn't for me.

So back to life for me, AND the dirty dishes in the sink!
Embrace the Journey

A lot of my bloggy friends are doing the soul coaching thing, and I have to admit, I've skipped reading those posts. It's just so much, and as I'm not participating, I don't understand half of what they are talking about.

(Of course, they are doing it for themselves, not for me!)

I can't wait to hear what's going on in your life, even if it is just dirty dishes :O)

Oh I hear ya. I posted today on my blog how I've also "bailed out".
It's a great book, and a very productive project - I'm just not keeping up.
*hugs*

Thank you everyone for the positive feedback! Yes, for those who aren't doing the soul coaching, then come to my or others blogs who are doing it, it is a bit confusing...

To Sorrow, Solstice, and Mrsb - thanks for letting me know... I totally agree, its SO much to read and especially if you dont know what the hell is going on in the book! lol I was going to go back, and rewrite my Air Week post because of the length, just to sum up the whole week, rather than each day - but honestly I was too lazy... lol For the Water Week I am just going to do a small summary... And even tho I do write alot about my personal life, I do think some things are best kept in my offline journal! Phew... lol

To BoHo - I totally respect you for dropping out. I know we talked about this last night and we both agreed that we need to attack this at a slower pace! I wonder how many out there agree with us too???

Anywho, again, thank you everyone for the positive support! :)

I just commented on Boho post about the same subject. I undeestand you guys beacuse I face the ame problem. I created a new blog for Soul Coaching exactly not to lose focus, and I'm doing it on my own pace, and gradually posting my thoughts as I make my wn progress. Tis wa I feel freer, and relaxed. As I said at Boho's, it's each one's journey at each one's rhythm! It will have the same effect and impact after all (actually the author says the same on day 10's introduction). Keep journeying the way you said, it will be fantastic anyway!

Kisses from Nydia.

Bret,

I was just over at Boho's blog saying very similar things. I love the book too and it has great benefits. But lately, my life has been a bit hectic and there are still quite a few emotional obstuctions that I have to clear before I can even pretend to be ready for an intense 28 day spiritual program. Like you, my writing and blog is about other things too. I've found that my blogging feels off. I don't have time to write 2 separate posts each day: one soul coaching and one regular post. I also don't have the time and, unfortunately, the emotional energy to spend more time on the computer getting to everyone.

I'm going to continue the book at my own pace. I'm going to continue reading over at soul coaching and posting when I can. But for now, I'm getting back to my "normal" style of posts. I too salute those who are going full guns with the project.

It is an intense program it's true and not for everyone. I'm just glad this time I'm doing it, I'm doing it with others. I think next time I take on a project like that I will create my own blog for it.

Whatever you need to do, go for it!

If it doesn't speak to you in a certain way that's totally okay. I love the idea of all those things, but usually I end up finding that I'm just no good with schedules or following others rules.

Of course we're all great Souls but each need to find our way back to certain understandings about our selves.
Hard to explain what I mean really. There are just so many paths that all lead to the same place I think.

I didn't read any of Soul Coaching, but I did like another book by that author. Sacred Space.
Did I do the rituals in there? No. Tried a few things, they were nice, but I just don't really have a set routine for all that. I'm still developing my philosophies and personality I guess.

Before I ramble on too much....

Have a nice weekend!!

Yay to doing what's right for you! Of course, we'll miss you on the journey but it's so important to follow your own path.

A blog can be such a grounding place, especially with so much transition going on. Your home looks amazing and your cat is a beauty! I hope you resettle and are surrounded by love and joy.
